The Eurokin initiative was the basis of the company Anaproc.

Founded in 1998, Eurokin is a consortium of industrial and academic members whose aim is the implementation of best practise in the area of chemical reaction kinetics, particularly in the industrial environment.

This is achieved by carrying out work in a number of areas such as the design of experiments and the interpretation of kinetic data to make the latest knowledge in these fields available to the end user. In many cases this has resulted in the development of user-friendly tools to allow, for example, more efficient assessment of experimental conditions. Other work has been aimed at evaluating the software available for processing kinetic data while a number of leading academics and experts have been commissioned to produce reviews of the state-of-the-art in a number of chemical kinetics topics.

Results are made available through the Eurokin website, access to which is restricted to the Eurokin members although are more detailed description of the aims and approach and also a limited amount of material is accessible for the public domain : www.eurokin.org

The membership of Eurokin currently comprises 11 industrial companies: Albemarle, Aramco, BP, DSM, Eni, Evonik Industries, Institut Français du Petrole Energies nouvelles (IFPEN), Johnson Matthey, Lhoist, Linde, and Shell; and 7 academic institutions: Technical University of Delft, Ghent University, Catholic University of Louvain, IRCELyon (CNRS), Politecnico di Milano, Technical University of Munich and Technical University of Trondheim. Funding is provided by the industrial members.

Currently, the Eurokin consortium is a major client of Anaproc.
